Traveling around Frederick is as easy as riding a bike. Welcome to the Transit Center, a major station for the Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) rail. The MARC train connects Frederick and Washington, D.C. heads south from the Transit Center to Monocacy Station. From the here the train travels to D.C.'s Union Station. The Frederick Transit Center also serves as the city's Greyhound Bus terminal and is a scheduled stop for the Frederick TransIT connector public bus system and local taxi services.

You are in one of the most pedestrian-friendly cities in the world, so make the most out of it and leave the car in one of our many Downtown parking garages. Frederick features plenty of bike paths and racks as well.

Gateway to the City
East Street now has surpassed Market and Patrick streets as the major gateway into the City of Frederick. It's only fitting that the Frederick Visitor Center is here to welcome travelers as they enter town. This "state of the art" facility, complete with physical exhibits, a multi-media theater, and ample restroom facilities proudly assists visitors from across the nation and globe. You will find overviews of all that Frederick County and City have to offer, along with the information and guidance to make your stay here a great one!
