Claremont’s First Fire Station
Original dedication November 30, 1925.
This historic building was erected to serve as Claremont's first fire station. It housed the volunteer fire department and the city fire department from 1925 to 1981. The second floor served as the city council chamber from 1925 until the adjoining city hall was built in 1948. The fire station was rededicated for use as the Claremont City Council Chamber on December 11, 1983.
