Inscription. The Novi Grad Historic City Hall (Vijećnica) was built in 1888 and is currently the oldest building in Novi Grad, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The building served as City Hall for a time and then as a museum. The Vijećnica was heavily damaged during the war, but reconstruction was completed in 2013, and the building stands again as a symbol of the culture and heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The stone you see here, from the original building, was specially removed from the building and is a gift from the City of Novi Grad to the City of Dayton in memory of Ambassador Richard Holbrooke.
