Unlike many dinosaurs, Australovenator had flexible arms and could hold its prey up to its mouth for easy feeding. Australovenator was lightweight for its size and could have chased down prey at impressive speeds. It has been called "the cheetah of its time." This dinosaur is a relatively recent discovery. The first Australovenator fossils were found in 2006.
