Inscription. Georg Kessler was born in Bad Frankenhausen, Germany, grew up in Texas and returned to Jena for his formal education in garden and landscape design. Foster brought him to Fort Wayne to design the Park and Boulevard system that Robinson had envisioned in 1908. His goals were to link the topographical beauties of Fort Wayne so families would have fresh air and green spaces nearby to enjoy. Kessler went on to design parks in Indianapolis, Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, Cincinnati and many other cities.
