From 1914 to 1918, Mike served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, in the front lines trenches of France. He became the most decorated WW1 Canadian Forces soldier.
After the war Mike became an American citizen, engineer and inventor. He held 8 patents and is credited with developing the automated bowling pin spotter.
O'Leary was one of the founding members of the Upper Arlington senior center, president of the Upper Arlington senior advisory counsel and elected to the Ohio senior citizen hall of fame.
William Michael O'Leary led an exemplary life as devoted husband father and friend to many. He and his wife Hazel had two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Patricia Ann.
